6 more digital businesses to get tax exemption

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has proposed giving tax exemption facility to six more IT businesses to accelerate digital transformation of the country.

The businesses are cloud service, system integration, e-learning platforms, e-book publishing, mobile application development service, and IT freelancing.

The minister came up with the suggestion in his proposed budget for the fiscal 2021-22 placed before the parliament on Thursday.

Currently, a total of 22 digital sector businesses enjoy the tax-exemption facility.
