In Photos: Bangladesh Police brought out rally marking Padma Bridge inauguration

The Bangladesh Police brought out a colourful rally from the police headquarters to Rajarbagh in the capital on Saturday marking the inauguration of the Padma Multipurpose Bridge.

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina opened the historic Padma Multipurpose Bridge.

She pressed a switch to inaugurate the bridge after attending a civic rally at the Mawa point of Munshiganj. She addressed the rally there and said the bridge was a pride, dignity and perseverance of Bangladesh.

Through the inauguration, people of the Southwest Bangladesh will be well-connected with the capital Dhaka.
