Mitu Murder: Ex-SP Babul to be shown prime accused for allegedly killing wife

Babul Akter, former superintendent of police, will be shown prime accused in a case under process to be filed in connection with the sensational murder of his wife Mahmuda Khanam Mitu.
Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) Chief DIG Banaj Kumar Majumder said this while addressing a press conference at his office in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The PBI chief said that they will place chargesheet of the case lodged in this connection earlier by today (Wednesday) besides Mitu’s father Mosharraf Hossain will file a new case against Babul immediately.
Mitu was murdered in broad day light in Chattograme city on June 5, 2016. Kamrul Islam Musa alias Musa Sikdar, who was an informer of Babul, stab and shoot her dead.
After the killing, Babul sued three unidentified men and detectives have arrested five persons including Musa's elder brother Saidul Sikder Shakur.
The rest are Motaleb Mia Wasim, Anwar Hossain, Ehteshamul Haque alias Bhola, and Md Shahjahan.
