Bangladesh Police, on Tuesday, launched an app for issuing movement pass, aimed to allow help emergency movement during the all-out lockdown starting from Wednesday.
The apps will help limit unnecessary movement, it believes.
Inspector-General of Police Dr Benazir Ahmed inaugurated the app in a programme as the chief guest at the Police headquarter in the capital.
“People will need the movement pass to go outside during the nationwide lockdown,” Benazir said and urged everyone not to go outside unless it is an absolute emergency.
He also urged people who left Dhaka in the last two days to stay in isolation for at least a week.
The emergencies include — taking the Covid-19 vaccine, going to the market or visiting the hospital.
