13 killed in Faridpur road accident

At least 13 people were killed and several others injured as a bus and a pick-up van collided head-on in Kanaipur area of Faridpur Sadar Upazila on Tuesday.

Md Hasanuzzaman, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said the victims were passengers of the pick-up van as the accident took place around 7:30am.

A bus of Unique Paribahan going to Jashore from Dhaka hit an oncoming pickup van in Diknagar area of the upazila, police said said.

The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
