Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has ranked 43rd on the list of Forbes World's 100 Most Powerful Women of 2021.

It’s the fourth term for the premier, and also her third consecutive term, after her party Awami League won 288 of the 300 parliamentary seats, says Forbes.

She is the longest-serving prime minister in the history of Bangladesh.

“During what she believes will be her final term, Hasina plans to focus on issues such as food security and access to education and healthcare,” wrote Forbes.

"An ongoing struggle of Hasina has been establishing a firm democracy in Bangladesh,” adds the Forbes latest report.

The list was published on Tuesday and highlighted the 100 most powerful women of the world.

Philanthropist billionaire MacKenzie Scott, also the third richest women in the world, topped on the Forbes list, while US Vice President Kamala Harris ranked second.
