Bangladesh reports zero dengue case, death in last 24hrs

No fresh dengue case and death caused by the mosquito-borne disease was recorded at any place across the country in the last 24 hours till Friday morning.

Thirty-six dengue patients, including 16 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at different hospitals in the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The DGHS recorded 686 dengue cases, 642 recoveries, and eight deaths in the current year.

The country logged 281 dengue deaths in 2022, the highest on record after 179 deaths recorded in 2019.

The DGHS also recorded 62,423 dengue cases and 61,971 recoveries last year.
