Walton exports fans worth Tk50 lakh to India in current month

Walton, a prominent electronics manufacturer in Bangladesh, has been diligently crafting top-tier electric fans in its cutting-edge factory, boasting high quality and energy efficiency.

Beyond catering to local needs, Walton fans, proudly labeled as "Made in Bangladesh," are now making waves in international markets.

In a recent stride, Walton successfully exported fans worth Tk50 lakh to West Bengal of India, this month.

This achievement marks yet another milestone in Walton's journey towards broadening its export footprint in the Indian market, reports a press release.

Abdul Latif, head of Walton Fan's Global Business Operation Division, said that since 2022, Walton has been consistently exporting fans to West Bengal.

“Our exports to West Bengal totaled Tk50 lakh,” he said.

The range of exported fans includes stand fans, table fans, and tornado fans. Local dealers spanning various districts of North and South 24 Parganas, Noida, Howrah, Hooghly, Bardhaman, Malda, Siliguri, Barasat, East and West Medinipur have procured fans from Walton.

Sohel Rana, chief business officer (CBO) of Walton Electrical Appliances, said, “India stands as a promising and vast market for us. Year by year, the demand and export of Walton fans are on the rise within the country.”

The superior quality, incorporation of cutting-edge technology, significant energy efficiency, and robust durability of Walton fans contribute significantly to this growing demand.

This export initiative serves as a pivotal step towards realizing Walton's 'Vision Go Global 2030' aspiration of ascending to the ranks of premier global brands, he said.

Walton is extending its reach beyond borders, exporting fans to Nepal, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Yemen, and East Timor, in addition to India. Wherever Walton products venture across the globe, they carry forth a commendable reputation for Bangladesh, he added.

Zakirur Rahman Sezan, brand manager of Walton Electrical Appliances, said Walton's products, crafted in its factories to cater to domestic demands, are reaching global shores through over 100 business partners.

With a monthly production capacity of 4 lakh units of fans at the Walton Fan Manufacturing Plant in Chandra, Gazipur, Walton maintains a robust presence.

Presently, Walton produces fans in over 100 models across 12 categories. In addition to serving the local market, Walton has garnered export orders for fans from numerous other countries.
