Bangladesh to sign MoC with Singapore to boost trade, investment

Bangladesh will sign a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Singapore to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
The MoC signing ceremony will be held at the conference room of the commerce ministry around 4 pm on Wednesday, reports a press release of the ministry.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and the visiting Singapore trade minister will sign the MoC to make the efforts a success.
Singapore, a key trade, transport and financial hub in Asia, export to Bangladesh was worth $3.63 billion during 2021, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade till November 2022.
Currently, the principal export products of Bangladesh to Singapore are knitwear, woven garments, agricultural products, engineering products, home textiles and others.
Singaporean firms have invested more than $8.0 billion in the country since 2020.
