Controversial e-commerce platform Alesha Mart has announced the closure of all its official operations.
The decision was taken due to “unwanted and security reasons”, the company said on its verified Facebook page on Thursday.
The company also said their activities will remain closed until further instructions.
“We are forced to take such a decision due to some people physically harassing our staff and trying to use force yesterday (December 1). These people were not our customers or had no payment schedule,” it said.
“Our operations will resume only after ensuring adequate security,” the Facebook post said.
Alesha Mart came into the limelight with incredible offers for various products. These offers attracted many customers who later claimed that they never got the product they paid for.
Moreover, many investors and merchants alleged that the company never paid the return of their investments or services.
Alesha Mart started its operations on January 1, this year.
On July 17, mobile financial service bKash severed all dealings with the company.
