MPA opens e-Payment-System Service

With a view to smoothing and easing revenue collection online to make the Mongla Sea Port a smart Port, the Mongla Port Authority (MPA) has opened an 'e-Payment System Service'.

MPA Chairman Rear Admiral Mir Ershad Ali inaugurated the system at a ceremony as chief guest on Tuesday, Md Makruzzaman, Secretary of MPA confirmed, reports BSS.

Members of MPA Captain Md Asaduzzaman and Dr. A K M Anisur Rahman, Chief Finance cum Accounts Officer Md Siddiqur Rahman, officials of MPA and representatives of BRAC Bank PLC were present.

Ershad Ali said the MPA has taken various steps to help implement smart Bangladesh and Vision-2041 through digitalization.

Mongla Sea Port, the second largest Sea Port in the Country, has forwarded one step to turning Mongla Port into a 'Smart Port' by opening 'an e-payment System Service, he said.

Users of Mongla Port will get all kinds of services including bill payment online from now on, he added.
