The two-day Investment Exposition to be organized by the Foreign Investors' Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), has been rescheduled on November 19-20 at Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden marking its 60th anniversary.

The exposition was earlier scheduled to be held on November 8-9, reports BSS.

According to a press release, FICCI president Naser Ezaz Bijoy said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had earlier given her consent for inaugurating the exposition on November 8 as the chief guest.

But, the Prime Minister is supposed to attend the 'Women in Islam' Conference to be organized by OIC at Jeddah in Saudi Arabia from November 6 to 8, read the release.

Under the circumstances, the release also said that the Prime Minister has given her fresh consent to inaugurate the expo on November 19 in the capital.

The key objective of the exposition is to highlight its contributions, including policy support, since inception towards developing the country's economy to ensure an enabling business environment.

There will be two plenary sessions on "Green Value Chain" and "Investment Climate: Current Landscape and Mission 2041" where industry practitioners and experts will present their insights.

Two research reports of the chamber - "Catalysing greater FDI for Vision 2041: Priorities for building a conducive tax system in Bangladesh" and "ESG Excellence: A Chronicle of FICCI Members" -- will also be unveiled at the event.

Besides, senior government officials, policymakers, diplomats, development partners, think-tanks, domestic investors and stakeholders will participate in the exposition.

The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is the event's strategic partner.
