Facebook to launch smartwatch!

Social media tech giant Facebook is now working on their first smartwatch.

Like its rivals -- Google, Samsung and Apple -- Facebook has come across to join in the competition of making smartwatches, reports the Verge.

The smartwatch will have two cameras that can be detached from the wrist for taking pictures and videos.

Also, users will be able share those content over Facebook and its owned other apps.

A camera on the front of the watch display for video calling and the second one can be used for photography and videos.

The second camera is featured with 1080p auto-focus video mode, which can be detached for capturing photos and videos.

The verge report says, it’s not confirmed publicly by Facebook but currently plans to launch next summer. Reportedly, Facebook is working with the top wireless company to support LTE connectivity in the watch.

So that users don’t need to pair the watch with a phone. Also, Facebook is planning to use the watch as a key input device for its planned augmented reality glasses.

The watch will come in three variants of colours in white, black, and gold. Facebook aims to release the first version of the watch in the summer of 2022. The device will cost around $400 but it is not confirmed yet.
