Banglalink launches Bangladesh’s first next-gen 4G with ZTE

Banglalink, one of the leading digital communications service providers in Bangladesh, and ZTE have successfully launched the next generation 4G service for superior customer experience.

With a new 2.3GHz TDD (Time Division Duplex) spectrum in Khulna, Banglalink becomes the first operator to launch the enhanced 4G service in Bangladesh, said a press release.

The two parties successfully demonstrated high-speed internet services based on high-performance devices, signalling that the Bangladeshi telecom market is ready to provide and welcome advanced technologies.

Present at the event were Chairman of BTRC Shyam Sunder Sikder, Banglalink Chief Executive Officer Erik Aas, Banglalink Chief Technology and Information Officer Huseyin Turker, Managing Director of ZTE Corporation for VEON Global Liao Hui, ZTE Bangladesh Ltd Chief Executive Officer Liu Wencheng.

Banglalink’s firm commitment to embracing new technologies to provide customers with the most advanced digital services is evident through this demonstration.

Enhancing 4G service will reveal unprecedented digital capabilities in the world of technology, said the release.

Regarding the development, BTRC chairman said, “I am delighted to see how Banglalink is prioritizing different regions of the country as part of its nationwide expansion strategy. Such initiatives can play an important role in accelerating Bangladesh’s technological progress by fostering digital inclusion. I hope that Banglalink will remain focused on regions like Khulna in the future.”
