Russian and Ukrainian hackers are using almost 1,400 IP addresses from Bangladesh to attack each other, according to recent findings of the e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-GOV CIRT).

The Russian government on March 3 published a list of more than 17,500 IP addresses and 174 internet domains it says are involved in ongoing distributed denial-of-service attacks on Russian domestic targets.

Later, CIRT, through a recent investigation managed to identify around 1,400 infected IP Addresses.

Through the infected IP addresses, Bangladeshi servers are being misused to deny services to important financial institutions of those countries.

Other than maintaining strong monitoring, CIRT recommended that authorities concerned to scan their systems to clear off botnets and malware.

Also, infected systems should also update and install Anti-DDoS software and hardware.
