WhatsApp rolling out mute videos feature for iOS beta users

WhatsApp is finally rolling out the mute videos feature to iOS users months after rolling it out for Android users.

The feature has been rolled out to the iOS beta users almost seven months after the feature was made available to the Android users, reports India Today on Saturday.

It is reportedly rolling out the feature to iOS users with a new design. It is currently under development and WhatsApp is yet to make an official announcement about the feature.

As per Wabetanifo, WhatsApp mute videos feature will be finally available to iOS users.

“WhatsApp introduced a new feature to mute videos on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.3.13, 7 months ago. Finally, we can use the same feature on WhatsApp beta for iOS, including a good redesign!To verify if the feature is already available for your WhatsApp account, just try to send a video to a WhatsApp contact. If you see something similar, it means the feature is available for you!”

As per screenshot by Wabetainfo, users can finally see the mute video option in a redesigned toggle to convert the video to a gif.

The features trackers say that every time users try to edit the video, its size is immediately updated. The feature is available today for iOS beta testers.

If it’s not visible for any user, they are asked to wait for the next updates that will help them to get the feature.
