Superb Shakib leads Bangladesh to win series

Once again Shakib Al Hasan proved that he is a match winner as his superb knock of 96 runs helped Tigers win the second ODI and the series as well.

Bangladesh was in big trouble after losing 3 wickets for 50 runs in chase for 241 against Zimbabwe despite scoring 39 runs by openers.

Mohammad Saifuddin made a good contribution with his 28 runs.

Bangladesh’s hope was dashed at one stage when they lost 5 top order batsmen for 146 runs, but it was Shakib who kept the hope on.

Earlier, Zimbabwe scored 240 runs for nine wickets after winning the toss.

Pacer Shoriful Islam took 4 wickets for 46 runs while Shakib Al Hasan bagged 2 wickets.

Madhevere made 56, which is his highest score in ODIs.

Bangladesh won the first ODI on Friday and with this win Tigers sealed the series with one match in hand.
