State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian has urged all Readymade Garment Sector (RMG) owners to pay wages and Eid bonus to their employees and workers within May 10.
She came up with the call after a meeting at the Shram Bhaban in the capital's Bijoy Nagar on Thursday.
The junior minister also asked the factory owners to ensure zone-wise holiday to avoid transport crisis of the RMG workers by maintaining social distancing rules during their travel to village homes.
