Stocks opened lower on Tuesday amid growing grave concern over the Covid-19 pandemic that ravaged India.
In the first 30 minutes into trade, the benchmark DSEX was down 64 points or 1.17% to 5,421.
Other indices, the Shariah-based DSES index lost 18 points or 1.45% to 1,244 and the blue-chip DS30 index was down 30 points or 1.42% to 2,095.
