Bangladesh T20 skipper Shakib Al Hasan could not perform well in the recently concluded Asia Cup. in two matches he made 11 and 24 runs and claimed a single wicket. Meanwhile, the Tigers came back to the country empty-handed.
Therefore, the Bangladesh team headed to United Arab Emirates (UAE) to play two T20I matches which will help them to perform well in the upcoming T20 World Cup. on the other hand, Shakib joined Guyana Amazon Warriors, a Caribbean Premier League (CPL) team.
In his first two matches, he went for golden ducks. However, the veteran all-rounder came back strongly in his third match as he scored 35 off 25 and claimed three wickets which helped him to the Player of the Match award.
He has adjudged the Player of the Match in the next match as well for his half-century and a wicket. He scored 53 off 30 deliveries with the help of five boundaries and three maximums.
Barbados Royals were asked to bat first and were bowled out for 125 runs. The Warriors reached there comfortably in 14.3 overs after losing five wickets.
