A huge blow for Bangladesh as Litton Das was ruled out from the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe due to his hamstring injury. The in-form batter is likely to miss the Asia Cup as well.

Bangladesh physio Muzadded Alpha Sany said, “We did a scan of the injured right hamstring and the report has confirmed a grade two muscle strain.  

“Recovery from such injuries usually require about three to four weeks. He will be assessed further in the coming days and will be put on a rehab plan.”

The opener sustained the injury during the series opener of the three-match series in Harare. He was looking sharp in the middle. 

Unfortunately, the batter suffered from a muscle pull and was hobbling after taking a single during 33.1. Therefore, he went off retired hurt. He made 81 off 89 deliveries.

"Litton is ruled out from the tour of Zimbabwe," Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief selector Minhajul Abedin was quoted by Cricbuzz on Friday.

Meanwhile, Shoriful Islam who failed to complete his full quota of overs is in doubt to play the second match due to a shin injury.

Zimbabwe took a 1-0 lead after defeating the Tigers after nine long years in this format. In reply to Bangladesh's 303 runs, they reached there comfortably and won by five wickets. It was their first victory in the last 20 encounters.
