Manchester City came back from two goals down to beat Aston Villa 3-2 at the Etihad Stadium to win the English Premier League (EPL) trophy.
It was the fourth Premier League title under Guardiola - with only Sir Alex Ferguson winning more - takes City's spiritual leader one clear of both Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho, and it was all wrapped up in the most improbable fashion.
Though his initial selections were perhaps flawed, second-half substitutes Oleksandr Zinchenko and Raheem Sterling set up goals, while Ilkay Gundogan's double proved decisive.
What a climax to an absorbing two-horse race: with their second successive comeback from two goals down. City were toiling through most of the match, and lacking inspiration, they had twice been stung by a well-organised Aston Villa side, but somehow summoned up three quick goals to move onto 93 points - one ahead of runners-up Liverpool.
