Shakib to skip ODIs against WI?

Doubts have been raised about whether Shakib Al Hasan will play in the upcoming ODI series against West Indies or not. As the series is not a part of the ODI Super League, Shakib wants to spend that time with his family.

However, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus said that Shakib had not yet officially asked for a leave.

He said that they have not heard anything officially yet and he (Shakib) is still in their plans for all three formats against West Indies. But since there is an ODI series later, if Shakib asks for a leave, it will be discussed later.

Mustafizur Rahman’s availability in the Test against the Caribbeans was also discussed. And it is learned that the seamer has responded positively to play the Test matches.

If everything goes according to the plan, the Tigers will fly to West Indies to play three ODIs, three T20Is and two Test matches.
