Neighbouring India’s Kolkata Police is using a meme photo of Bangladesh’s Mominul Haque and Kyle Jamieson of New Zealand to raise awareness against the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The photo shows Mominul—a man of 5’3” height—standing nonchalantly in front of a 6’8” tall Jamieson, taken during the ongoing Bangladesh-New Zealand Test series.

Using the massive height difference between the two players as a metaphor, the meme tried to show the danger of not wearing masks amid the looming third wave of Covid-19

Text boxes on the photo point to Jamieson as the “third Covid wave” and Mominul as “those on the street without masks”.‎

Kolkata Police posted the photo on its Facebook and Twitter pages, which went viral and promoted many others to make memes.

However, no one has yet claimed to be the creator of the meme.

Kolkata police have been recently seen making people wear masks.
