The second and final Test between Bangladesh and Pakistan will end soon on Wednesday and the Tigers are not going to win this Test for sure.

Bangladesh’s next Test series is up against the Test champion New Zealand. After the Dhaka Test, the Tigers have to pack their bags to fly for New Zealand tour. They will leave the country at 1 am tomorrow.

Bangladesh will play two Test matches against the Black Caps. The first Test of the series will be played on January 1 at Mount Manganui. The second Test will start on January 9 in Christchurch.

The Tigers have to leave early due to a quarantine issue. Bangladesh will have to do quarantine for seven days and three Covid-19 tests will be conducted on them during that period.

Bangladesh lost seven Test series played so far except for one which was drawn. From 2001 to 2009, the Tigers played nine Test matches in New Zealand. They lost all nine and five of those losses are by innings.

Bangladesh have to fly without Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal. Tamim is not included for his thumb injury. On the other hand, Shakib was included earlier, but the all-rounder asked for a leave and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) accepted that.

Bangladesh squad: Mominul Haque (c), Shadman Islam Anik, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, Mushfiqur Rahim, Liton Kumar Das (w), Nurul Hasan Sohan, Yasir Ali Rabbi, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Abu Zayed Rahi, Ebadat Hossain, Shoriful Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Shohidul Islam, Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Naim Sheikh.
