Man City finish as group topper after beating PSG

Manchester City secured their place in UEFA Champions League's (UCL) Last 16. They snatched the top position of Group A after beating Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) by 2-1 at the Etihad on Thursday.
This is the straight fifth year that City finished top in the group stages. They equaled rivals Manchester United's record in the competition.
Kylian Mbappe opened the scoring on the 50th minute for PSG. Lionel Messi and Herrera play a lovely one-two on the edge of the box.
The cross from Messi was deflected right into the path of Mbappe. Later, Mbappe beat Ederson with a fine shot.
City took 13 minutes to find the equalizer. From Gabriel Jesus’s assist, Raheem Sterling tapped the ball into the far corner to level the scores at 1-1.
The Citizens completed their comeback on the 76th minute when Bernardo Silva’s smooth assist was converted into a goal by Gabriel Jesus.
Silva was named the Man of the Match for his incredible performance.
PSG also qualified after RB Leipzig thrashed Club Brugge by 5-0.
In another high voltage match, AC Milan defeated Atletico Madrid by 1-0. Messias’s late goal at the 87th minute was enough to seal the victory.
