Chelsea claimed a huge victory over Juventus. The men in blue put four goals in the Old Lady’s net.
Trevoh Chalobah, Reece James, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Timo Werner scored those goals and secured their place in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) Last 16.
Chalobah opened the scoring at the 25th minute of the game. James scored in the 55th minute and just after three minutes Hudson stretched the lead. In the stoppage time Werner’s goal made the score line 4-0 for Chelsea.
Juventus had already qualified for the knockout stage but after leveling with Chelsea on 12 points, they dropped down to second place in the group.
Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel said, "It’s their biggest dream to perform at Stamford Bridge, to perform in blue, to be part of a strong Chelsea team," the German said. "I strongly believe this is a huge part of the success that we have this mix."
In the other match, Barcelona was held by Benfica at home. The match ended in a goalless draw and will likely need a victory at Bayern Munich to advance in the UCL.
Manchester United's 2-0 win sent them to the next round of the UCL. Cristiano Ronaldo gave the lead to the Red Devils in the 78th minute. Jadon Sancho doubled the lead in the 90th minute.
