China overtakes everyone in fight to win Olympic gold medals

China has overtaken Japan and the United States to win gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
The number of gold medals of China stands at 14 till the filing of the report on Thursday afternoon. Japan and the United States have won 13 gold medals each.
However, the United States is in the top position in terms of the number of medals. The United States has won a total of 37 medals, including 13 golds, 14 silvers and 10 bronzes. The total number of medals won by China is 29.
Russia, meanwhile, has won a total of 25 medals, including seven golds. The total number of medals in Japan is 22. Australia has won a total of 20 medals, including 8 golds.
On the other hand, Great Britain has won a total of 18 medals, including 5 gold medals. South Korea has a total of 11 medals, including 4 gold medals. Germany, which has won 3 gold medals, also has a total of 12 medals. Italy, which has won a total of 18 medals, has won two gold medals at home.
