Bangladesh pace sensation Mustafizur Rahman, who is all set to take part in the upcoming cash-rich Indian Premier League 2021 for Rajasthan Royals, reached India on Monday.

“Landed in India safely and mission IPL starts with Rajasthan Royals. Keep me in your prayers,” Mustafizur wrote in his verified Facebook page.

After Mustafiz’s arrival, the Royals shared a picture of the cutter master.

Following seven days of mandatory quarantine in his hotel room, as per the BCCI’s guidelines and necessary negative test results, Mustafiz will join the rest of his teammates at practice.

Mustafiz was picked by the Rajasthan-based franchise for Rs1 crore in the IPL 2021 auction in Chennai. Rajasthan were the only bidders for Mustafiz and they got him at his base price after the very first call.

The Satkhira-born left-handed pacer previously played 24 matches in IPL for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians respectively. He made his IPL debut back in 2016 for the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). He won the title for SRH back in 2016 where he played vital role with his splendid bowling.

Royals who finished at the bottom of the points table last season, is set to start new season with new setup. They released Steve Smith, their captain in the last edition, and named local hero Sanju Samson as their new skipper.

Rajasthan Royals will take on Punjab Kings in their first match of IPL 2021 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on April 12.
