China’s bond market issuances top 4.58 trillion yuan in October

Issuance of bonds in China topped 4.58 trillion yuan (or $642.01 billion) in October, central bank data showed.
Treasury bond issuance aggregated to 827.18-billion-yuan last month, while local government bonds worth 668.73 billion yuan were issued, revealed the People's Bank of China, reports Xinhua.
Meanwhile, issuances of financial bonds totaled 766.09 billion yuan in the same period, and issuances of corporate credit bonds recorded 1.1 trillion yuan.
Credit-asset-backed securities valued at 37.51 billion yuan were issued in October, while interbank deposit certificates topped 1.17 trillion yuan, the PBC data showed.
At the end of October, outstanding bonds held in custody could be summed at 144.1 trillion yuan, according to the bank.
