Once again, a factory in Bangladesh got a devastating fire that killed dozens of poor workers. Unlike previous accidents, this time, the fire broke out in a non-RMG factory located in Rupganj under the capital's neighbouring Narayanganj district.
As of Friday afternoon, at least 52 workers were killed in the blaze at Shezan Juice factory, a sister concern of Sajeeb group.
The fire broke out at 5 pm on Thursday.
The dead bodies were no longer in a condition to be identified. DNA sampling may be needed to match the bodies. The recovered bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
The rescue agency is still working on the spot.
