The government started administering the Chinese Sinopharm vaccines today.
Health Minister Zahid Maleque was present as the chief guest at the inoculation programme held at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).
So far, five lakh doses of the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine have been handed over to Bangladesh.
The Sinopharm vaccine is produced by Beijing Bio-Institute of Biological Products Co Ltd, a subsidiary of China National Biotec Group (CNBG).
