Police and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists clashed in front of the National Press Club on Sunday morning.

Police baton-charged protestors and used tear gas to disperse the activists when they gathered there to stage a protest over the death of writer Mushtaq Ahmed in custody.

Activists of the Chhatra Dal, the student wing of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party, retaliated by hurling brickbats at the police.

When Chhatra Dal attempts to cross the police barrier, a clash ensues. One of the Chhatra Dal activists injured in the clash.
