Brazil, Bangladesh to exempt diplomatic, official visas

The cabinet on Sunday approved a proposal to sign an agreement between the governments of Bangladesh and Brazil on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders.
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam told reporters the decision at a briefing after the cabinet meeting at the secretariat.
He said an agreement would be signed quite soon between Bangladesh and Brazil to enable diplomats and officials to travel to the South American country with on-arrival visas and the cabinet had agreed to do so.
State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam will sign the agreement this week. He will also fly to Brazil, afterward, the secretary said.
