Thalassaemia carrier screening and awareness camp held

A free thalassaemia carrier screening and awareness camp was held at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College in Dhaka on Saturday.

First Security Islami Bank Ltd and Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiatives organised the programme, according to a news release.

Dr Firdausi Qadri, Laureate of Ramon Magsaysay Award 2021 and Lead, Institute for Developing Science and Health Initiatives, Syed Waseque Md Ali, managing director, First Security Islami Bank, and Professor Dr ABM Maksudul Alam, principal, Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College, were present, among others.
