Narayana Murthy who co-founded Infosys, an Indian IT giant, has a net worth of over $2.5 billion. But his lifestyle doesn’t reflect how rich the man is.

Murthy lives like a very common man. He stays in the same flat in Bangalore where he began Infosys. But he could easily live in a mansion like many other billionaires.

He cleans his own toilet and his plate after having meals. Sounds unbelievable, but it is true for this man.

Many employees of Infosys have seen him taking care of small things like electrical work at cafeterias on the Mysore campus.

He is a bookworm and he doesn’t accept any gifts other than books. He spends his holidays reading books. Also, he never goes to movies.

He never ever bribes anybody and is known for his high ethics. In the early stages of Infosys, the company had to import a computer for a certain project. The customs people would not release it without a bribe.

The deadline had expired and hence, Infosys had to pay penalties for it as the computer was in customs.

Many people advised Murthy to let it go, as they were losing money because of penalties. He stayed unbending and finally, the customs officials gave up and sent the computer without any bribe.

Since then every time Infosys imports something, it is delivered quickly and without any bribe.
