Mass vaccination with only NID verification from August 7

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal on Tuesday said the government will start mass vaccination from August 7 and there will be no need to get registered in the Surokkha app as NID will be enough to get the jabs.
The minister also said people of 50 years and above will get priority at union levels.
Kamal told this after a coordination meeting on Covid-19 situation at the Cabinet Division.
He also said the army, navy and air force will look after the vaccination programme from their respective areas across the country.
The home minister said the present lockdown will continue till 5 August.
Health Minister and Cabinet Secretary Khandaker Anwarul Islam also attended the meeting.
