Banking services will remain open from 10 am to 1:30 pm every working day between July 23 and August 5 during the lockdown, according to a circular issued by Bangladesh Bank (BB) on July 13.
BB said respective banks will decide on how many branches they keep open with how many employees.
Clients will get almost all services – from money deposit to withdrawal, receipt of remittance to government’s safety net allowances, foreign exchange payments, and money transfer to online banking – during the lockdown.
Card and internet banking services have to remain open round the clock and ATM booths have to have adequate cash, said the central bank in the circular.
BB also said respective banks have ensure transports for the employees who will have to go to their offices.
