Planning minister’s iPhone recovered after 51 days, 3 held

Police on Monday claimed to have recovered Planning Minister MA Mannan’s iPhone, which was snatched from his car in capital’s Bijoy Sarani intersection 51 days ago.

Police also arrested three persons in this connection, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Media and Public Relations of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Iftekharul Islam said.

Further details over the arrest recovery will be known through a press conference by this noon, the police official said.

The incident happened when the minister was waiting in traffic at Bijoy Sarani on his way home around 7:00pm on May 30.

As the window of the car was rolled down, an unidentified person snatched his phone and ran away.

Later, a case was filed with ‘Kafrul Police Station in this connection.
