PM Hasina recommends local lockdown to curb Covid spread

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed the local administrations to impose lockdowns if the Covid-19 situation deteriorates at local levels.
Cabinet Secretary Khandoker Anwarul Islam told reporters, quoting the prime minister as saying.
“All activities will be restricted if the Covid-19 situation deteriorates in border districts,” he said after the cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The cabinet secretary also said the coronavirus situation deteriorated in Rajshahi, Natore and Dinajpur, but the situation in Chapainawabganj is stable now.
