Bangladesh urged envoys to boost economic ties with Asean countries

Secretary Masud Bin Momen has urged the Bangladesh envoys to step up their efforts for protecting the national interests with particular emphasis on enhancing trade and economic relationships with the Asean countries.

He exchanged this view in a virtual meeting that was held on locally developed Bangladeshi virtual video conferencing platform Boithok with Bangladesh Ambassadors and High Commissioners in Asean countries on contemporary issues on Monday, reads a press release.

Ambassador Masud Bin Momen chaired the meeting.

Eight Ambassadors or High Commissioners along with other senior officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs attended the virtual meeting.

Masud called upon the envoys to make innovative and out-of-the-box efforts to maintain the momentum of the economic growth of Bangladesh in the context of the raging pandemic and other regional and global challenges.

The three-hour-long meet was conducted smoothly on the Boithok platform.
