How to get pass for movement during lockdown

The government is going for an all-out lockdown from Wednesday. In the seven day restriction, people can go outside their home in emergency cases like getting Covid vaccine, buying medicine, kitchen and daily essentials.

To stay outside during the period, everyone will need a movement pass. Bangladesh Police on Monday started issuing the passcards.

Here is how you can get it.

At first, you need to visit the website movementpass.police.gov.bd  and click the “Apply for Movement Pass” button.

Immediately you will be redirected to a virtual form asking for some general information including your phone number, location and the places you want to go to.

After submitting all the information with your photo, you will get the movement pass.

It can be downloaded and printed from anywhere.

While moving outside, you may need to show the pass to the police on duty.

Meanwhile, a commerce ministry has asked all concerned engaged in production, procurement, transportation and sales of daily essential items to contact its control cell numbers (0172168917, 01738195106 and 01756173560) if they face any trouble during the fresh weeklong lockdown.
