PM Sheikh Hasina to address nation this evening

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Tuesday evening ahead of Pahela Boishakh 1428.

“The Prime Minister will address the nation at 7:15pm on the occasion of the Pahela Boishakh (Bangla New Year),” PM’s media wing source said.

State-owned Bangladesh Betar and Bangladesh Television (BTV) will broadcast the prime minister’s address simultaneously.

Private television channels and radio stations will also air the prime minister’s speech at the same time.

The all-out nationwide lockdown for one-week is going to be enforced from tomorrow to contain the spread of coronavirus in the country.

Before the enforcement of the lockdown, the prime minister is scheduled to address the nation on the occasion of the first day of Bangla calendar year. The premier also addressed the nation last year on the same occasion.

Earlier on March 25, this year, the prime minister addressed the nation marking the golden jubilee of the independence of Bangladesh.
