Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) has suspended all international flights for a week from Wednesday as the government is going to enforce a lockdown to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Air Vice Marshal M Mafidur Rahman, chairman of CAAB, confirmed it to the Business Insider Bangladesh over phone on Sunday evening.

He said there will be no restriction on the movement of cargo flights, air ambulance and special flights.

Earlier, CAAB has suspended all domestic flights in the wake of rising Covid-19 cases and deaths in the country.
