Bangladesh reports 11 deaths from Covid-19, 606 new cases

Bangladesh reported 11 deaths and 606 fresh Covid-19 cases on Sunday.

With this, the number of positive cases rose to 550,330 and the number of deaths reached 8,462, said the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The fatality rate from Covid-19 in Bangladesh currently stands at 1.54 percent.

DGHS further said that 1,037 patients have recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours. The total number of recovered patients so far is 503,003 – which is 91.40 percent of the total infected.

During the last 24 hours, 14,092 samples were tested in 219 labs across the country. A total of4,146,205 samples have been tested in the country so far.

According to the Worldometer data, 117,125,240 cases of coronavirus have been detected worldwide as of Sunday afternoon. The number of deaths reached 2,601,011.

The US is the country with the most numbers of Covid-19 positive cases, followed by India, Brazil, Russia, the UK and France.
