BI Report || BusinessInsider
There is no scope to allow the traders to keep their shops open after 8 pm in the present context, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said on Friday.
It is not possible for the government to keep the shop open after 8 pm even if the businessmen want it, Nasrul Hamid said while talking to reporters at his Baridhara residence in Dhaka this noon.
It will take more time to know the outcome of the nationwide scheduled load shedding, Nasrul Hamid said, expressing his hope that the country’s overall power and energy situation will improve from next month.
He also called upon the concerned authorities not to use government vehicles unnecessarily to cope with the situation.
He said the government is engaged in hatching efforts to reach a long-term deal with some foreign countries to purchase gas and the possible country could be Qatar.
