Primary asst teacher recruitment: 40,862 qualified for viva

Some 40,862 candidates from 22 districts have qualified for the viva voce in the first phase written examination for primary school assistant teachers.

Ministry of Primary and Mass Education said in a press release on Thursday adding that the schedule and centre for the viva voce will be informed later.

The results are available on the website of the Directorate of Primary Education (www.dpe.gov.bd).

Earlier on April 22, the first phase of the test was held in 22 districts while the second phase examination will be held on May 20 in 30 districts and the third phase on June 31 in 31 districts.

The number of aspirants this year test for the assistant teachers is 13,09,461 against total 45,000 posts.

There are 65,566 government primary schools in the country at present having 4,28,701 assistant teachers’ posts remained vacant, according to the ministry.
