Govt announces closure of educational institutions until Feb 6

The government has announced the closure of the educational institutions including schools, colleges, and other equivalent institutions until February 6 for the spike in coronavirus cases.

Besides, the universities were also asked to take similar measures.

The closure will be applicable from Friday, according to a cabinet division gazette notification issued on the same day.

Besides, the government also imposed some other restrictions to prevent the spread of the virus across the country.

According to the gazette notification, the gathering of over 100 people is not allowed for any social, political, religious or government functions.

Moreover, the attendees at the events have to carry their covid vaccination certificates alongside RT-PCR negative certificates, while the test should be done before 24 hours of the event.

The public, private offices, and factories should collect the covid vaccine certificates of their employees.

The use of masks is mandatory in all public places that include shopping malls, mosques, bus stoppages, launch terminals, railway stations.

And the local administration and the law enforcement agencies will monitor if the restrictions are followed, according to the notification.
