The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations will begin on November 14 across the country.

Education Minister Dipu Moni came up with the disclosure at a press conference on Wednesday.

A total of 22.27 lakh students will take part in this year’s examinations and its results will be made public within 30 days, the education minister said.

The students will have to enter their respective examination centres 30 minutes before the examination begins, she said.

No one will be allowed to enter the centre with electronic devices, she said.

All coaching centres will remain closed from November 8 to 25 in a bid to prevent question papers leakage, the minister said.

Earlier in July, the education minister said that the SSC and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations may be held either in the second week of November or the first week of December this year.

The examination will be held in MCQ (multiple choice question) by maintaining health guidelines if the country’s Covid-19 situation improves.

“The examinations will be held with short syllabuses on three subjects. The rest compulsory subjects will be assessed based on the subject mapping of SSC and JSC examinations, she said.
