Berger Paints Bangladesh has recommended 375 percent cash dividend to its shareholders for the year ended on March 31, 2021.

The dividend payout was recommended at the company's board of directors meeting.

However, final approval regarding the dividends will come during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for October 6 on digital platform, said the company in a filing with the Dhaka Stock Exchange on Sunday.

The company has reported EPS of Tk 58.03 and NAV per share of Tk 232.78 during the period.

The record date for the distribution of the declared dividend among the shareholders has been fixed as August 16.

Khandker Abu Jafar Sadique, company secretary of Berger Paints, told the Business Insider Bangladesh that Berger Paints is at the top of the confidence of the people of Bangladesh because of its quality products.

So the business has been much better during the Corona period. As a result, there has been a lot more profit.

Meanwhile, the Company has decided to sign a Distributor Agreement with Promat Fire and Insulation Private Ltd. (Promat), a world-leading fire protective coating supplier.

As per the agreement, Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited will be the exclusive importer and distributor of Promat in Bangladesh.

Jenson & Nicholson (Bangladesh) Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berger, shall be an exclusive indenting agent of Promat in Bangladesh.
